California Dental Association offers advice on ensuring mask compliance

Jan 13, 2021
The California Dental Association shared six steps to help dental practices determine how to deal with patients who don't comply with practice mask rules. First ensure employees are trained on dealing with uncooperative patients, and choose a staff member to handle noncompliance situations. Unmasked patients should be offered a disposable mask, and practices can ask them to reschedule the appointment when they are willing to follow mask rules or to set up a telehealth appointment, the CDA said.
