This spring, Medicaid returned to its regular renewal process. Because of pandemic-related policies over the last three years, all Virginians kept their Medicaid health coverage without redetermination. States are now beginning to recertify people’s eligibility for Medicaid.
The VDA has prepared a 1-pager to assist you and your team members in having conversations with patients about how to prepare and the need to respond promptly to keep their coverage.
The 1-pager also includes resources to assist the 350,000 Virginians expected to lose Medicaid eligibility during the unwinding process.
